National Nurse’s Week
It has been a busy time for us at Knollwood! First, let’s start off with Nursing Week! We have 3 amazing nurses at Knollwood who deserve more recognition than they get. Our nurses got goodie bags with candy, pens, coffee, and various other things.
Cinco De Mayo Happy Hour
Next, we had a Cinco De Mayo-themed Happy Hour! Our entertainer Tommy Tunes had many residents on their feet dancing to popular hits such as Margaritaville and Elvira! Residents had beer, wine, and if they chose, a frozen margarita!
Tea Party
Our Community Liaison Vera hosted a Tea Party for the female residents to help get them ready for Mother’s Day. Her event consisted of tea, coffee, and various snacks that you would typically see at a tea party. There was even tea party etiquette and style of cake trivia!
Mother’s Day Brunch
To conclude this recap, we hosted our Annual Breakfast at Tiffany’s Mother’s Day Brunch! This has been a yearly tradition since we opened our doors in 2012 and is always a big hit! This year we had various breakfast casseroles and entertainment provided by Ed Settle.
Offering seniors age 65 and older a wealth of amenities to retain as much independence as they are able, with support, in a home-like environment in our supportive living community.
