October is the perfect time for a good spooky story, and residents at Knollwood Retirement Community have enjoyed a special treat this month!
Local author Rocky Morisette of Caseyville has been visiting Knollwood on Wednesday evenings throughout October to share readings from his fictional novel, Bunkum Jack.
The story follows Jacques Morisette, a man who lived in Caseyville during the late 1800s and early 1900s, weaving local history with mystery and the events of March 1921 at Gundlach’s No. 16 mine.
These evening readings have brought a little Halloween spirit to Knollwood while giving residents an opportunity to enjoy storytelling inspired by the area’s past.
A special thank you to Rocky Morisette for sharing his time, creativity, and storytelling talents with our Knollwood community!
