In the cozy glow of evening, you’ll often find Roy nestled in our library, just after dinner, with a favorite book in hand. It’s a scene that takes him back to childhood, finding a snug corner, letting the words carry him away, and imagining far-off places.
Even in today’s world of tablets and smart devices, Roy, and many of our residents here at Knollwood, still choose the simple joy of stepping into the library to pick up a familiar novel or explore something new.
Roy is exceptionally well-read and carries a deep, wide-ranging knowledge of American history and religious teachings. He loves to share what he learns, and his conversations are thoughtful, engaging, and full of insight. His presence is a reminder of the timeless comfort a good book can bring.
