Nearly 250 years ago, our nation’s founders signed the Declaration of Independence, forever changing the course of history. As America celebrates this incredible milestone, Knollwood Retirement Community was honored to bring together residents, families, neighbors, friends, and our local community for an unforgettable Pre-Fourth of July celebration.
And what a celebration it was!
With over 200 guests joining us throughout the evening, our campus was filled with laughter, music, patriotic spirit, and memories in the making. In fact, we planned for 200 hot dogs… and still managed to run out! We’d say that’s a pretty good sign of a successful community gathering.
From children waving American flags and enjoying the bounce houses, to residents sharing stories of Fourth of July celebrations from years gone by, every generation came together to celebrate what makes our community feel like home.
As the sun set over Knollwood, everyone gathered with lawn chairs and blankets to witness an absolutely spectacular fireworks display. The colorful bursts lighting up the evening sky created the perfect finale to a night filled with smiles, conversation, and togetherness.
