There are some evenings that remind us why community matters so much. Thursday, December 4th was one of those nights for our Knollwood Retirement team as they attended Hospice of Southern Illinois’ Bourbon & Bags Bingo event at the Edwardsville Moose Lodge.
The event wasn’t just about bingo cards and prizes (though those were definitely a fun perk). It was about gathering with neighbors, supporting a meaningful mission, and spending time with other professionals who care deeply about serving seniors and families across our region.
Showing Up for Community, Anywhere, Anytime
Knollwood was represented beautifully by members of our nursing team and our marketing director. From the moment they walked in, they brought the same energy they bring to work every day: kindness, professionalism, and a genuine love for people.
Events like this give us a chance to step outside our building and connect with others who share our commitment to care. Supporting Hospice of Southern Illinois is one way we can say “thank you” to an organization that provides comfort, dignity, and guidance to families during some of life’s most tender moments.
And Yes… They Came Home Winners!
As if a great night out wasn’t enough, our team also had some exciting wins to celebrate:
- Mariah, our Resident Care Nurse, won a gorgeous designer bag.
- Ashley, one of our Medication Nurses, won a beautiful wallet.
We love seeing our team enjoy themselves and get recognized in joyful ways. Their wins added an extra sparkle to an already memorable evening.
Proud of the Team We Have
At Knollwood Retirement, our staff does more than provide excellent care. They build relationships, create comfort, and represent our community values wherever they go. Nights like Bourbon & Bags Bingo are a wonderful reminder that our team doesn’t just show up for residents in the building, they show up for seniors and families across the region.
We are incredibly proud of each person who represented Knollwood at this event. And to Mariah and Ashley: congratulations again! You earned every bit of that lucky glow.
Thank You, Hospice of Southern Illinois
A big thank-you to Hospice of Southern Illinois for hosting such a fun, meaningful event. We’re grateful to be part of a community filled with organizations and individuals who care so deeply for others.
We’re already looking forward to next year!
